Automatic watches run without battery and are wound automatically after the first winding by the arm movement of the person wearing the watch. When our automatic watches are fully wound, they run for an average of 48 hours, even when not in motion. If the watch is not to be worn for a longer period of time, the watch must first be wound up again (30 - 50 turns of the crown clockwise). LOUIS XVI watches are tested for water resistance to 5 bar, which corresponds to the pressure of an assumed water column of 50 metres. This makes it suitable for daily use such as bathing, showering or washing hands.

The water resistance of a watch may deteriorate over time, for example due to the ageing of seals or accidental impact against one of the components responsible for water resistance, such as the crown, pushers or the sapphire crystal glass. We recommend that you have the water resistance of your watch checked once a year.

If your watch is defective, please fill out our warranty form and follow the instructions given there.

You can return your watch within 14 days after you have received it. The prerequisite is that the watch is unworn and absolutely as good as new, the bracelet has not been shortened and no protective foils have been removed.
